Hike for Rights: Mount Brandon 2025
Join us for a sponsored hike of Mount Brandon to raise funds for our work empowering migrants and refugees building their lives in Ireland. Together, we will climb in solidarity for a more welcoming and just society.
Climb Mount Brandon with Doras
On 28th June, join us as we hike one of the highest mountains in Ireland, Mount Brandon, and help us raise funds for our work with migrants and refugees building their lives here.
Every step taken during Hike for Rights supports Doras’ mission to protect and promote the rights of migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees in Ireland.
Funds raised help us:
- Provide immigration advice and direct support
- Advocate for fair and humane immigration policies
- Support victims of hate crime and exploitation
- Empower refugee communities to thrive in Ireland
Mount Brandon is the highest mountain in Ireland outside of “The Reeks.” Its lofty summits have an otherworldly quality. We will take 'The Saints' Path' (moderate grade difficulty) which offers an enjoyable, exhilarating day of trekking, whatever the weather.
Don't miss this opportunity to climb Mount Brandon with like-minded people while raising vital funds for an organisation working on the ground with families and individuals seeking protection in Ireland.

We climbed Carrauntoohil in August 2024, raising €6,000 for Doras work with migrants and refugees!
"As we ascended the mountain, each step became a symbol of the struggles many migrants face, steep, exhausting, but driven by hope. For us the climb wasn’t just physical; it was a journey of the soul, reminding us that strength is found in unity and perseverance. I loved this fundraising experience and am very grateful to Doras for making this happen. Everyone should try it at least once in a lifetime."
"Doing the hike with our friends was a great bonding experience. The adrenalin you get when you reach the top is fantastic. Having the guides with us all the way made all the difference, as they were so knowledgeable about the mountain and you feel really safe."
"I am delighted I did this - I never thought I could climb a mountain that high. I am looking forward to the next hike!"
