LEARN ENGLISH
Doras has been offering basic English language classes to migrants since the year 2000. Classes are offered twice a week from September to December and from January to June each year. Informal conversational English classes also take place throughout the year.
ENGLISH CLASSES
Doras provide basic English classes to migrants in Limerick city. Lessons are delivered to small groups by eight volunteer tutors. Places are limited to 35 learners per term, beginning September and January each year. Early enrolment is advised.
English classes are held on Monday and Thursdays from 10.30am to 12pm.
The English course runs from September to December and from January to June each year.
If you or someone you know would like to apply for English classes, you will need to complete an application form, in person, at the Doras office reception.

CONVERSATION ENGLISH CLASSES
Informal conversational English classes also take place on Wednesday mornings at 10am under the Fáilte Isteach programme, with the help of local volunteer tutors. Classes are informal – you do not need to register in advance and all are welcome to attend.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ENGLISH CLASSES
To book your place, please visit Doras during opening hours to complete an application form. You must complete the application form in person as this will form part of your language skills assessment.
Assessments take place a number of times throughout the year.
