Key Issues & Campaigns

This work is informed by the insights we gain by providing direct support services to migrants at the local level. We ensure that that the problems experienced by migrants in Limerick are represented in national campaigns and are heard at the political level. We use our local networks and regional influence to support national level campaigns.

We work to raise awareness and generate support for positive change by collaborating with other organisations, engaging with the media and the public. We influence policy development by engaging with decision makers and public representatives at the local and national levels, including politicians, civil servants and mainstream organisations. Doras also engage with the Intercultural Cities network and the United Nations human rights monitoring bodies.
